IMS hosted the 56th UACES Annual Conference

Last week, IMS helped organise the 56th annual conference of the University Association for Contemporary European Studies (UACES). This year’s conference examined how Europe is constructed, challenged and reshaped in national discourses – specifically, how political narratives shape public perceptions of European integration both within and outside the Member States. The programme included a total of three plenary sessions, which focused on how national perspectives both challenge and enrich the vision of a shared and inclusive Europe.

A total of 15 IMS members presented at the conference, ten of whom were members of the INTERFER project’s research team. Specifically, the following presented at the conference: Professor Tomáš Weiss; Associate Professors Jakub Eberle and Michal Smetana; Dr Klára Kosová, Dr Elena Simanschi, Dr Eliška Tomalová, Dr Emilija Tudjarovska, Dr Eliška Ullrichová and Dr Lamiya Panahova; Dr Ondřej Rosendorf; and PhD students Roman Kolodii, Alice Nováková, Isabelle Haynes, Zuzana Krulichová and Anna Šillerová.
