Lamiya Panahova successfully defended her dissertation

On Tuesday, July 28, doctoral student Lamiya Panahova successfully defended her dissertation in the Area Studies program. In her research, titled Education, Nation-Building, and Civic Dominion in Post-1991 Azerbaijan: Practices and Narratives, she examined efforts to shape Azerbaijani identity through narratives guided by state policy and how these identities are conveyed to students in local schools.
