PhD Position in a New GAČR–DFG Project
As part of the new three-year GAČR–DFG project The Little Entente in History and Politics. Discourses and Politics for Overcoming Smallness, we are offering a PhD position, with a research focus on the cultural history of the foreign policy of Czechoslovakia, for the period October 2026 – September 2029.
The PhD candidate will:
- participate in the research project,
- at the same time work on their own doctoral dissertation, which should be thematically related to the project.
The position is especially suitable for applicants interested in:
- the history of interwar Central Europe
- and the history of international relations in this period.
Monthly salary: CZK 38,00 gross
Applications are welcome from candidates applying to either the Czech-language or the English-language version of the Modern History doctoral programme.
Prospective applicants should consult their interest and possible dissertation topic in advance with prof. Adrian Brisku and are asked to contact him no later than Friday 24 April at adrian.brisku@fsv.cuni.cz, so that there is still enough time to finalize the application.
