Slavomír Horák completed a short-term academic stay in Almaty

Slavomír Horák completed a short-term academic stay at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University in Almaty, where he gave several lectures and also became a foreign consultant for the dissertation Establishment of Statehood from the Kazakh ASSR to the Kazakh SSR. 1924-1937.

Specifically, he gave two lectures in English at the Faculty of International Relations, entitled Publication Strategies: How to be Published in a Prestigious Academic Journal and Contemporary Turkmenistan: Theorising and Practices of the Authoritarian Regime, and at the Faculty of History he lectured in Russian on the topics Czechs and Slovaks in Central Asia (listed in the program as История и историография отношений Чехии и Центральной Азии) and Methodological Approaches and Strategies for Publication in International Journals (listed in the program as Методологические подходы и стратегии публикации научных статей в международных академических журналах). In addition, he discussed possibilities for future cooperation with the leadership of both faculties.
