In their new book, Dr Karin Roginer Hofmeister and Dr Klára Kosová explore the relationship between memory and place

How is the past shaped in the spaces we inhabit, imagine and create? And what is the relationship between memory and place across material, social and cultural landscapes? This is what Dr Klára Kosová and Dr Karin Roginer Hofmeister explore in their new publication, Mapping Memoryscapes: New Research Perspectives, published by Karolinum.

The book presents a collection of interdisciplinary research by early-career researchers from a wide range of academic disciplines and offers answers to the question of how memories are formed, transformed and inscribed into urban spaces, social practices, oral historical accounts and art.
