Ediz Hazir has presented his research at international conferences
Ediz Hazir, a doctoral student at KRVS, has spoken at two international conferences in recent months, where he presented the results of his research. At the end of March, he spoke at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences in Sofia at a conference titled Diplomacy, Intelligence, and Influence in the Balkans and Beyond, 17th–19th Centuries, where he presented a paper titled The Bulgarian Uniate Movement as the Holy See’s Strategy: Religious Diplomacy and the Reorientation of Catholic Policy in the Balkans (1860–1861). -
IMS 2026 Doctoral Conference
V pondělí 25. května pořádá IMS další ročník Doktorské konference, na níž prezentují a obhajují svůj výzkum doktorandky a doktorandi, kteří dokončují druhý ročník studia, případně vyšší ročník, pokud svůj výzkum ještě neprezentovali. Jedná se tedy o příležitost, kde se můžete seznámit se s výzkumem, který na našich katedrách vzniká, a také studujícím pomoci konstruktivní kritikou a komentářem. -

This year again, first-year PhD students in Modern History at IMS — Giovanni Ghetti, Alina Galster, and Tomáš Košek — had the opportunity to present their research at a doctoral workshop organized by CERCEC / EHESS in Paris. -
PhD Position in a New GAČR–DFG Project
As part of the new three-year GAČR–DFG project The Little Entente in History and Politics. Discourses and Politics for Overcoming Smallness, we are offering a PhD position, with a research focus on the cultural history of the foreign policy of Czechoslovakia, for the period October 2026 – September 2029.
