Pavel Szobi from the Department of North American Studies received a prestigious research grant from the Austrian Science Agency! The project entitled "Vienna Expert Clearing Houses as East-West Discourse Centers" will be solved by IMS in cooperation with the University of Vienna. His research will include the role of Josef Korbel, father of the US Secretary of State Madeleine Albright. Congratulations!

Sylff is a scholarship program launched in 1987 to support students studying in the humanities and social sciences. Since the beginning of the program, $ 1 million has been paid out to 69 universities and consortia in 44 countries. Sylff aims to identify and educate leaders who can overcome differences in nationality, language of ethnic origin, religion and political systems in solving global problems.
