Beyond Security: Role of Conflict in Resilience-Building (CoRe)

The project aims to find strategies to strengthen mechanisms and processes supporting the resilience of society against conflicts and crisis phenomena. It responds to the war situation in Ukraine, as well as to the current climate, energy, or migration crises.  

Research team

Over 200 leading specialists from several research and development centres across the Czech Republic are collaborating on the project.

The group of participating institutions includes:

  • Charles University (Faculty of Arts, Faculty of Social Sciences, Faculty of Law, Hussite Theological Faculty, Protestant Theological Faculty),
  • Institute of Philosophy and Institute of Sociology of the Czech Academy of Sciences
  • Masaryk University (Faculty of Arts, Faculty of Law),
  • University of Pardubice (Faculty of Arts).

The project is funded by the call for Excellent research within the Operational Programme Johann Amos Comenius.
