Maria Paschalina Dimopoulou

 

Maria Paschalina Dimopoulou, born in Thessaloniki, is a BA student at the Department of Balkan, Slavic and Oriental Studies, University of Macedonia (Greece). After completing an Erasmus+ semester at Charles University in spring 2018, she has returned to our department with the Erasmus+ practical placement program for fall 2018. She focuses on contemporary history of the Balkan peninsula and post-socialist politics in South-East Europe. During her studies, she attended numerous workshops and took part in a four-year field work program on Balkan capitals. Besides, as a volunteer she regularly helps organizing international conferences held at the University of Macedonia. Her film review of a documentary on the Greek far-right Golden Dawn is about be published in English.
