Third Annual Marian Szyjkowski Award

We would like to inform you about the announcement of 3rd annual Marian Szyjkowski Prize for the Best Diploma and Bachelor's Work on Poland, also in comparative perspective.

The Polish Institute in Prague is announcing the third annual Marian Szyjkowski Prize. The deadline for applications for works defended in 2019/2020 is 30 November 2020. Application is online.

The thesis has to be defended in the 2019/2020 academic year. The subject of the thesis has to be linked to Poland and the content has to be largely devoted to Poland. The competition takes place in two categories and is for students who have defended their diploma or bachelor's thesis at the following institutions and disciplines:

Category I. – Polonistics
Category II. – Other university courses in the Czech Republic (details in the competition rules)
 

Reward for best work in Category I and II:
Winning diploma thesis: 15,000 Kč
Winning bachelor's thesis:10,000 Kč

Diploma's and bachelor's theses may be submitted by their authors or by their supervisor (with the consent of the author). These must be sent electronically in pdf format (other format by agreement) to: praga@instytutpolski.org
