Another successful dissertation defense in Modern History
Martina Kerlová successfully defended her dissertation, Erich Heller and Bohemian Jewish Exiles in Anglo-American Academia, in Modern History at the end of last year. -
Award for the presentation of FSV UK in the media for the year 2024
The Faculty of Social Sciences of Charles University has awarded three female and two male academics for their media output in 2024. They were nominated by their institute for the media award, which has been running at FSV UK since 2016. The award ceremony took place at a meeting of the Academic Senate of FSV UK on 4 February 2025 in the presence of the Vice Dean for External Relations, Tereza Klabíková Rábová. -

Karim Kamel has achieved prestigious scholarship from the ZEIT-Stiftung
We are pleased to announce that Karim Kamel has achieved outstanding success in international competition and has been awarded a prestigious PhD scholarship by the ZEIT-Stiftung Ebelin und Gerd Bucerius. His research project, entitled "The Impact of the Delphi Method on Emerging Disruptive Technology (EDT) Policy", has been granted funding for a period of 36 months. -

Doc. JUDr. Vladimír Handl, CSc. was awarded a bronze commemorative medal for his long-term work and services to the development of the Faculty of Social Sciences at Charles University. -
