Transatlantic Cooperation in Addressing Global Challenges
Transatlantic Cooperation in Addressing Global Challenges
From Artificial Intelligence Governance to Climate Change Mitigation
The project aims to critically evaluate possible avenues for cooperation between the United States and the European Union in the 21st century. Global challenges, ranging from the effective governance of the rising field of artificial intelligence to the mitigation of the effects of climate change, require cooperative and multilateral solutions. If the two liberal democratic actors find common ground in effective, inclusive and equitable governance of the scope of global challenges, they can set the standards for the rest the world to follow. It assembles a team of researchers from the consortium led by Charles University, including University of Warsaw, University of Milano and Heidelberg University. Apart from serving the purposes of joint research, the project will also focus on cooperation between students of the four universities, mainly in encouraging students to produce joint discussion papers prepared for project workshops.
