The award went to:
Ladislav Krištoufek, Institute of Economic Studies
With his expertise in the field of cryptocurrencies and his ability to communicate complex economic concepts clearly, he has long contributed to a better understanding of these complex topics by the general public. As Vice-Rector for Research and Creative Activities at Charles University, he is also a major contributor to the development of scientific excellence at Charles University. Last year, he received the Medal for Merit for the State in Science from President Peter Paul.
Petra Koudelková, Institute of Communication Studies and Journalism
She has been awarded primarily for offering complex and often unpopular topics to the media space, with which she is able to reach a wide audience. Her activities towards the popularization of church communication or sustainability are extremely valuable. With these (largely unrewarding) areas she achieves media attention comparable to the most popular topics.
Zuzana Lizcová, Institute of International Studies
The award is given for active and frequent media coverage of her area of professional interest. Through her commentaries and analyses, she contributes to a deeper understanding of political developments in Germany and Austria and explains the complex dynamics of German politics to the Czech public. His work in the national media also highlights the differences between Czech and German culture.
Aleš Michal, Institute of Political Studies
In the last year he has become one of the most media active academics at IPS FSV UK. With his regular, active and erudite presentation, he has become one of the leading Czech experts who regularly comment on the domestic political scene in the national media. His ability to communicate clearly on complex topics contributes significantly to a deeper understanding of political developments in the Czech Republic.
Andrea Průchová Hrůzová, Institute of Sociological Studies
She received the award for her media activities in the field of visual culture. Her work contributes to the popularisation of this topic and to deepening public awareness of visual literacy and critical perception of images. He also introduces the topic of decolonization in the Czech environment to the general public from a sociological perspective.
