IMS in cooperation with Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung is inviting you to a lecture

Different end of story: Neoliberal reforms, anti-liberal counter-revolutions, and the challenge of the Covid-19 pandemic

The Institute of International Studies of the Faculty of Social Sciences of Charles University and Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung in the Czech Republic cordially invites you to a lecture with Dr. Philipp Ther, professor of Eastern European History at the University of Vienna, on Thursday, November 26, 2020, from 9:30 a.m.

Philipp Ther, in his book "Das andere Ende der Geschichte: Über die Große Transformation," published in 2019, looks at the major changes of the past three decades, whether they are economic policy conflicts after 1989, the related rise of right-wing populists, the consequences of their rule in Italy or the decline of the US. Based on his book, the lecture will also address current developments in the world.

There will be an opportunity for discussion after the lecture.

The event will be held on the Zoom portal and will be simultaneously translated into Czech and German
