International Conference: Collaborative Autoethnography of Vulnerability on Former Soviet Spaces

We kindly invite you to the international conference Collaborative Autoethnography of Vulnerability on Former Soviet Spaces, taking place on Monday, 26 May 2025, at the Institute of International Studies, Charles University, Jinonice campus.

The event will focus on reflections on social sciences in the context of war and authoritarianism in former Soviet countries. It will explore the vulnerability of researchers conducting « sensitive » fieldwork, as well as the study of vulnerable groups. Reflexive ethnographic research, including mixed artistic-research or documentary practices, alongside with autoethnographic reflections on positionality when doing « sensitive » fieldwork will be covered.
