Reflection from the block seminar "WWII: History & Memory"
In the summer semester a block seminar was held led by Prof. Kateřina Králová and Dr. Karin Roginer Hofmeister on the topic WWII: History & Memory. This joint course with the University of Regensburg focused on the double narrative of collective guilt and (heroic) sacrifice in relation to the Second World War, especially in the Czech-German context.
The block seminar was supported by the German BTHA Foundation, the Zentrum Erinnerungskultur (UR) and Claims Conference (Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany).
