Success of our Modern History PhD student Tereza Juhászová in a leading international journal

Our PhD student in Modern History, Tereza Juhászová, has published an article titled Teachers in Power: Nation-Building and Loyalty in a Czechoslovak Periphery (1918–1947) in the prestigious journal Contemporary European History.

Her microhistorical study examines the key role of Czech civil servants in promoting Czechoslovak nation-building and maintaining state presence in a linguistically diverse Slovak border region through major political upheavals. The publication represents a significant part of her dissertation research.
