Information for academic year 2022/2023

Course goal: The course serves to replicate and practice the knowledge needed for admission to the Bachelor of Territorial Studies (TS) program, and may also be useful for preparing for admission to other courses for faculty of humanities and socio-sciences. The main focus will be on post-war history and the current problems of the countries of the European Union, the countries of the former Soviet Union and the United States of America. The problems of European integration and security are also themed. Each lecture will be accompanied by a brief bibliography to expand knowledge on the subject.

Each lecture will be presented with a short, jointly corrected test, which the participants will keep. It will be accompanied by a brief bibliography of the subject.

Course time subsidy: The course, with a time subsidy of a total of eleven meetings, will run twice a week in the early evening hours of 17:00 - 19:00, ranging from 31. 1. 2022 to 9. 3. 2022.

Course completion: The course concludes with a multiple-choice test

Passing the test at the end of this course may replace the recruitment process. Participants in the course will be informed of the outcome of the course and any conditional admission to the Faculty of Social Sciences of Charles University (FSV UK) by the end of March so that they can devote themselves uninterrupted to completing their secondary studies. The course is based on regular attendance, with a maximum of two absences allowed. You must keep your camera on during the course.
