Information for academic year 2022/2023

Course goal: The course is intended to revise and practice the knowledge required for the admission procedures for various study fields of the International Area Studies programme and it may also be beneficial to prepare for the admission procedure for other study programmes at faculties of humanities and social sciences. The main focus will be on German and Czech-German history in the 19th and 20th centuries and German and Czech-German cultural studies after 1990.

Course time subsidy: The course, with a time subsidy of a total of nine meetings, will run twice a week in the early evening hours of 17:00 - 18:30, ranging from 31. 1. 2022 to 2. 3. 2022.

Price of course: free

Course completion: Passing the test at the end of this course may replace the recruitment process. Participants in the course will be informed of the outcome of the course and any conditional admission to the Faculty of Social Sciences of Charles University (FSV UK) by the end of March so that they can devote themselves uninterrupted to completing their secondary studies. The course is based on regular attendance, with a maximum of two absences allowed. You must keep your camera on during the course.
