Alexios Ntetorakis Exarchou has been awarded a Sharon Abramson Research Grant
Alexios Ntetorakis Exarchou, a PhD candidate in the Modern History program at the Institute of International Studies, Faculty of Social Sciences, Charles University, has been awarded the highly prestigious Sharon Abramson Research Grant, granted by the Holocaust Educational Foundation of Northwestern University (HEFNU).
HEFNU supports research and teaching in Holocaust studies across academic disciplines. The grant is primarily intended for PhD students in the final phase of their dissertation and aims to support their research during the upcoming academic year.
Alexios’s dissertation project, titled Refugees from Bulgarian-occupied Greece in Thessaloniki and the Holocaust (supervisor: Prof. Kateřina Králová), focuses on the role of refugees from Bulgarian-occupied Greece in the context of the Holocaust in Thessaloniki.
