Doctoral conference of 2nd year students (June 2, 2022)

On Friday, June 2, the annual doctoral conference of our institute took place. At the conference, second-year students present and discuss their Ph.D. theses.

This year we debated two theses in modern history, which dealt with transnational history and the history of exile, using the example of the Bohemian-German-Jewish Germanist Erich Heller and the status of the Catholic minority in Turkey between the Ottoman Empire and the Turkish Republic. The third, a political science dissertation, will explore using judgmental forecasting to improve strategic foresight and policy prioritization.

We thank the presenters and discussants, whether they were present physically or online!
