IMS FSV UK PhD student to speak at prestigious Cambridge workshop

Markéta Kroupová, a PhD student in Modern History at the Institute of International Studies, will present her research on 29 May 2025 at the prestigious Modern European History Workshop hosted by the University of Cambridge.

In her paper titled "The Making of a Cultural Leader in the Buchenwald Concentration Camp", she will present part of her dissertation research. Her work offers a new perspective on cultural and social dynamics under the extreme conditions of a totalitarian regime.

The Modern European History Workshop (MEH) is an international platform for the presentation and discussion of research projects by emerging scholars in the field of modern European history, from the 19th century to the present.
