About the film
The year is 1999. Russia's previous president, Boris Yeltsin, abdicates quite unexpectedly six months before his term expires, putting Prime Minister Vladimir Putin in charge of the state. This fateful moment begins with a documentary by the renowned director Vitaly Mansky, who, as the court's presidential cameraman, has reached the heart of Kremlin politics, bringing an unexpected testament to the beginning of the Putin era. And who they all are, "Putin's Witnesses."
