New PRCP Study: “Defense Spending: Why It Needs to Be Significantly Increased and How to Finance It”

Peace Research Center Prague, in cooperation with the Center for Public Finance, has prepared a study entitled “Defense Spending: Why It Needs to Be Significantly Increased and How to Finance It”. The study addresses key questions related to defense expenditures – why they are necessary, the current structure of the defense budget, and what sources can be used to fund its increase.

The aim of the publication is to contribute to a more informed public debate and political decision-making on the defense policy of the Czech Republic, particularly in light of the evolving international security environment. The study offers concrete proposals and emphasizes the importance of sustainable defense financing.
