Workshop Central: Towards a Central European School in Modern History

Workshop Central: Towards a Central European School in Modern History
The two-day international doctoral workshop of the Central network "Towards a Central European School in Modern History" follows previous workshops held in Prague, Warsaw, and Vienna. Doctoral students specializing in modern history and related disciplines from the universities of Vienna, Budapest, and Warsaw, as well as from the Institute of International Studies at FSV UK, will present their research projects during the workshop. These projects are connected by the theme of transformation in Central Europe after 1918, 1945, or 1989. Together with other participants, they will discuss methodological approaches to overcoming the limitations of the Central European region and exploring global contexts of local developments.
The workshop will take place on March 31 – April 1, 2025, at IMS.
