Inter-University Agreements
Inter-University Agreements
Charles University also offers its students foreign exchange on the basis of Inter-University Agreements, i.e. contracts concluded directly between Charles University and a foreign university. Inter-university agreements are managed by the RUK International Office.
Students admitted under the Inter-University Agreement do not pay tuition fees, however, they must pay any other costs themselves, unless otherwise stated.
Some study stays under Inter-University Agreements are fellowships, i.e. participation in an exchange program is accompanied by a scholarship provided by a partner university. Information on whether the stay is a fellowship or not can be found in the list of current offers of stays at relevant foreign universities. If the stays are not fellowships, you can use the possibility of financial support, either from a university (mobility fund) or from an offer from a foundation, grant agency or other institution providing financial support for student mobility.
Any FSV student (including non-EU citizens) who is enrolled in an accredited bachelor's or master's degree program and will be duly enrolled for study at Charles University for the entire period of study abroad can participate in the inter-university agreements. Participation in the competition is conditional on an actual study in at least the second semester of a bachelor’s degree or at least the first year of a master’s degree at the time of application and a very good knowledge of the English language.
Applicants submit their applications within the faculty deadline at the FSV International Office. Following the so-called faculty round, the FSV International Office forwards applications from the successful candidates to the RUK International Office, which makes the final selection of the nominees.
The selection procedure is generally put out twice a year (in spring and summer).
Up-to-date information on the competitions can be found on the faculty website.
