What are Area studies
The aim of territorial studies is to provide an overview of the general issues surrounding the political, cultural-historical, economic, legal, and social aspects of the development of selected territories, with the primary geographical and geopolitical regions under study being North America, Western Europe, German-speaking countries, Central and Eastern Europe, the Balkans, and the post-Soviet space. During their studies, students have the opportunity to engage with a wide range of disciplines and fields of study, ranging from contemporary history, current political and social events, and international relations to collective memory and oral history.
