Discussion: "Georgia’s EU Path after the EU Council Decision"

This November the EU Commission recommended to the EU Council granting Georgia the candidate country status. This was alongside the recommendation of opening accession negotiations with Moldova and Ukraine and the adopting of a 2023 Enlargement Package for these three countries and the six Western Balkan states to monitor their progress. The EU Council will deliver its decision on December 15th, 2023.

To discuss this decision as well as Georgia’s existing and new challenges to its EU path, our Small Nation(-States) Research Centre, in cooperation with Prague Civil Society Centre, has invited two Georgian experts – currently fellow residents at Prague Civil Society Centre – the director and founder of Democracy Research Institute in Tbilisi, Tamar Khidasheli and Ucha Avsajanishvili, research fellow at the University of Milan.

The discussion will be held in a hybrid format on December 21st, 2023 at 14:15 -1 5:30, Jinonice Campus, room C423 and online
