The Institute of International Studies at Charles University's Faculty of Social Sciences has been awarded a prestigious Erasmus+ grant for cooperation with the Western Balkans
The Institute of International Studies at the Faculty of Social Sciences, Charles University, has been successful in the 2025 call for proposals for the Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility programme, and has received a prestigious grant to support cooperation with three Western Balkan countries – Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Montenegro.
The funds obtained will facilitate the advancement of intensive academic exchange between IMS FSV UK and leading universities in the region in the forthcoming years. The institute's teaching staff will be participating in the cooperative endeavour, in addition to students representing all levels of study – from bachelor's to master's to doctoral. The financial support will enable them to undertake a portion of their academic pursuits at partner universities, thereby acquiring significant international experience.
The success of the 2025 call serves to confirm the robust position of IMS FSV UK among Czech academic institutions in the domain of Balkan studies, South Slavic studies, and Albanian studies, thereby further consolidating its pivotal role in the context of international academic collaboration.
