Additional Admission Procedure for Doctoral Studies at IMS

Dear applicants, we would like to inform you about the announcement of an additional round of admissions to all our doctoral programmes.

The deadline for the submission of applications has been set to 2 September 2023 for Modern History and 5 September 2023 for International Area Studies.

Modern History

The Doctoral Program in Modern History (MD) is a four-year program focusing on contemporary history from the 19th century to the present in an international context.

Area Studies

The Doctoral Program in Area Studies (AS) is a four-year program focusing on the various aspects of the current (since 1990) development of North America and Europe (not primarily the Czech environment) as well as the theoretical and methodological issues of the Area Studies.
