    On Tuesday, 27 May 2025, the traditional alumni reunion of the Institute of International Studies, Faculty of Social Sciences, Charles University took place in the beautiful setting of the Grébovka Pavilion in Havlíček Gardens.
  • The Marian Szyjkowski Prize for Best Master's Thesis Awarded to IMS Graduate

    We are proud to announce that the Marian Szyjkowski Prize for the best master’s thesis in non-Polish studies disciplines has been awarded to a graduate of the Institute of International Studies, Faculty of Social Sciences, Charles University. The recipient of this year’s prize is Anna Medalová, who was recognized for her outstanding thesis titled “Child Refugees of the Greek Civil War in Poland: 1948–1962.”

    Martina Kerlová successfully defended her dissertation, Erich Heller and Bohemian Jewish Exiles in Anglo-American Academia, in Modern History at the end of last year.

    Zuzana Zavadilová, graduate of the Master's programme in of Territorial Studies with a specialisation in German and Austrian Studies at the and Austrian Studies at the Institute of International Studies, was awarded the Josef Hlávka students and graduates for the year 2024.
