Klára Kosová has defended her dissertation at Rijksuniversiteit Groningen
We warmly congratulate Klára Kosová, who successfully defended her dissertation Governance legitimacy in the oligarchized settings: the case of Bulgaria on Thursday, February 19. The thesis, supervised by Prof. Pablo Valdivia Martin, Dr. Lisa Gaufman, and Doc. Adrian Briska, examines how political legitimacy is constructed in contemporary democracies and analyzes the state of the Bulgarian socio-political situation during the protests in 2020 and 2021. -

The Institute of International Studies, Faculty of Social Sciences, Charles University, is opening a junior researcher / PhD student (1.0 FTE) position within the research project “Understanding and Experiencing Sexual Violence in the Late Habsburg Monarchy,” a three-year project funded by the Czech Science Foundation (GAČR) and led by Prof. Ota Konrád (IMS, Faculty of Social Sciences, Charles University). The researcher will join a wider project team, including Dr. Tereza Juhászová. -
