New GAČR project at IMS grounds
Congratulations to doc. Tomáš Nigrin for the new project! Doc. Nigrin has been working on a new project called Connected by Arms: Central European Armaments, 1954-1994, since January. The project compares production and distribution strategies in Austria and Czechoslovakia and maps the network of actors and the interconnected infrastructure.

Cancellation of teaching and restricted operation at FSV UK on 22 December 2023
Due to the tragic events at the Faculty of Arts, Charles University, on Friday 22 December 2023, all classes at FSV UK will be canceled and the operation of the faculty will be restricted. Our thoughts are with colleagues and students from the Faculty of Arts at this sad moment.

The Institute of International Studies, Faculty of Social Sciences, Charles University in Prague is opening a junior researcher/Ph.D. student (m/f/d) position (1,0) for 36 months, with a start date between 1.3.2024 and 1.5.2024 on the project „Linking Arms: Central Europe’s Weapons Industries, 1954-1994“.

Finished appointment procedure - prof. Kateřina Králová

Discussion: "Georgia’s EU Path after the EU Council Decision"
This November the EU Commission recommended to the EU Council granting Georgia the candidate country status. Our Small Nation(-States) Research Centre has invited two Georgian experts to discuss this decision on 21 December at 14:15.
