    It is with great sadness that we have received the sad news of the death of Prof. Marek Wilczyński, co-founder of the German and Central European Studies programme organised at the University of Krakow and the Institute of International Studies, Faculty of Social Sciences.     On Friday, 23 June 2023, a successful public defence of dissertation written by Barbora Menclová took place. On Thursday 22 June and Friday 23 June, Klára Kosová and Ediz Hazir successfully passed the state doctoral examination. Congratulations to all of them!
