Charles University has received another large financial injection for its research. Michal Smetana from the Faculty of Social Sciences at Charles University has been awarded a grant from the European Research Council (ERC) of more than one million euros for his MICROCODE project, which will study the stability of military alliances.

On 21 March, a new research alliance between Prague, Paris and Lviv (IMS FSV UK, EHESS, Center for Urban History) will be officially launched.
