Echoes of Conflict: Health Consequences of War and Violence Across Generations

Ve dnech 8.–10. dubna 2025 se uskuteční mezinárodní konference Echoes of Conflict: Health Consequences of War and Violence Across Generations. Cílem konference je prozkoumat mnohovrstevné dopady války a násilí na jednotlivce i komunity z fyzického, duševního i společenského hlediska. Zaměříme se na intimní dopady války na zdraví, reakce vlád a společnosti na národní i mezinárodní úrovni a transgenerační (duševní) zdravotní důsledky. Naším cílem je nabídnout komplexní porozumění trvalému odkazu konfliktů.  

O 80 let po konci druhé světové války nastal čas obrátit pozornost k osobním dopadům války a násilí na jednotlivce a jejich zdraví, s důrazem na transgenerační důsledky. Tato reflexe přesahuje koncept post-memory, aby zahrnula nové perspektivy na to, jak jsou válečná traumata prožívána a zpracovávána napříč generacemi. Konference se zaměřuje na posun od globálních politických důsledků válek k péči o oběti, obnově zasažených rodin a domovů a individuálním zdravotním (zejména duševním) následkům. Zároveň se věnuje sociálním proměnám způsobeným masovým násilím, hromadným vysídlováním, změnami hranic a režimů po druhé světové válce a tomu, jak se s těmito výzvami vyrovnávali jednotlivci a komunity.  

Hlavním řečníkem bude Prof. Michał Bilewicz, renomovaný sociální psycholog z University of Warsaw. Jeho výzkum meziskupinových vztahů, předsudků a psychologických účinků historických traumat přinese cenné poznatky do našich diskusí.
