Maciej Ptaszyński - short biography
Maciej Ptaszyński is an Assistant Professor at the Institute of History of the University of Warsaw. He studied History and Philosophy at the University of Warsaw and Freie Universität Berlin. 2007, he obtained PhD from the Faculty of History at the University of Warsaw with a thesis on the professionalization of the protestant clergy in the Duchy of Pomerania 1560-1618. 2012/2013 and 2017/18 he was a visiting professor at the Johann Gutenberg University in Mainz. 2019, Ptaszyński obtained his post-doctoral degree (habilitation) from the Faculty of History at the University of Warsaw. As a historian, he works on the church history and political theories in the early modern times. He was a PI in two research-project funded by the National Centre of Science in Poland.
